The IPI Fellowship is an invitation-based program for internationally recognized artists, writers, and researchers whose practices engage with contemporary art, ecology, culture, and questions of how we live.

Invited Fellows spend time in Fujino developing new work, research, and ideas in dialogue with the land, local knowledge, and community. Through experimentation and exchange, the program connects Fellows with local practitioners, cultural and educational organizations, and international art institutions.

The Fellowship contributes to IPI’s ongoing inquiry into the relationships between art, ecology, culture, and ways of living. Each Fellowship may result in a new project, exhibition, publication, performance, public program, or other form that emerges from the Fellow’s practice and experience in Fujino.
